GHT: Glass House Technologies
Low-Voltage Contractor · National Programs

A nationwide low-voltage contractor that shows its work.

Structured cabling, fiber, cameras, access control, and wireless. Tested to the standard we agreed on, labeled at both ends, documented, and covered by warranty terms you can read before you sign anything. One contractor, from Huntsville to anywhere in the country.

What we install

Every low-voltage system in the building.

One contractor for everything below 50 volts means one design, one schedule, one warranty, and no finger-pointing between trades.

Structured cabling

Cat6/6A copper backbone and horizontal cabling, pulled, terminated, and labeled to the project standard. The proposal identifies the test method and closeout evidence for the exact scope.

Fiber optics

Single-mode and multimode backbone, OSP runs, and fusion splicing. Long-haul campus links and data center trunks with OTDR documentation.

Security cameras (CCTV)

IP camera systems designed for coverage, not brochure counts, mounting, cabling, head-end build, VMS configuration, and retention planning.

Access control

Card, fob, and mobile-credential door control. Panels, readers, strikes and maglocks, and integration with your camera and alarm systems.

Wireless & DAS

Predictive and on-site RF surveys, enterprise Wi-Fi deployment, and distributed antenna systems for cellular coverage in dense buildings.

Data center & MDF/IDF build-outs

Racks, ladder rack and tray, structured pathways, power coordination, grounding, and migration support, closets that stay clean for a decade.

Audio/visual & paging

Conference room AV, digital signage, overhead paging, and sound masking, cabled and commissioned alongside the rest of your infrastructure.

Managed operations

Monitoring, moves, additions, changes, and escalation are defined in the service order for the systems GHT supports.

Why Glass House

We're called Glass House for a reason.

We name the proof before we start

The proposal names the test method and closeout record for the exact scope. Delivered evidence follows that written standard.

One crew standard, ours and our partners

GHT self-performs and coordinates vetted partners under one scope, communication path, and acceptance process.

The warranty is in writing, not implied

Every proposal identifies who backs the warranty, what it covers, how long it lasts, and what conditions apply. Manufacturer system warranties are listed only after eligibility is verified.

Common questions

Low-voltage contracting, answered straight.

What does a low-voltage contractor do?

A low-voltage contractor installs and services systems that run below 50 volts: network cabling, fiber, security cameras, access control, audio/visual, Wi-Fi, DAS, and building communications. Glass House Technologies delivers these systems nationwide through direct execution and vetted delivery partners under one standard.

Do you work outside of Alabama?

Yes. GHT plans national and multi-site programs through direct execution and vetted delivery partners. Coverage, licensing, capacity, scheduling, and the closeout standard are confirmed for the specific locations before a fixed agreement is issued.

How much does low-voltage cabling cost?

Most commercial Cat6 drops land between $150 and $350 per drop installed, terminated, tested, and labeled, driven by building conditions, quantity, jacket rating, and certification requirements. We publish an honest cost breakdown on our Insights page and provide fixed unit pricing in every quote.

Are your installations certified and warrantied?

The proposal defines the test standard, deliverables, and warranty for the exact system being installed. Manufacturer-backed system warranties are offered only when the selected components, installer authorization, testing, and registration requirements are verified.

Do you use subcontractors?

GHT self-performs where appropriate and uses vetted delivery partners where the program requires it. Either way, GHT owns the scope, acceptance standard, communication, and closeout.

How fast can you quote a project?

The online planner gives one calculated planning basis immediately. A fixed agreement is issued only after the site, equipment, pathways, access requirements, and supporting evidence are independently reviewed. The request keeps one owner and a dated next action throughout that process.
