BICSI-Certified Installer

$20–40/hr · Nationwide (U.S.) · Full-time

You are the on-site authority on a travel crew. BICSI Installer 2 or Technician. Lead the work on data centers, retail rollouts, and commercial sites across the country, mentor data techs, fusion-splice when it counts. $20-40/hr. The next seat after this is superintendent.

Responsibilities

  • Be the technical bar on a travel crew: copper, fiber, fusion, test, closeout.
  • Mentor one or two juniors so they can copy the termination, not guess.
  • Reject a bad run. First-pass test results are the job.
  • Fusion-splice and certify when the job turns on that work.
  • Leave as-builts the next crew can trust.

How we measure this seat

  • First-pass test results.
  • Juniors can copy the termination without you standing over every port.
  • Closeout is complete the same week the work is.

Who this is for

  • BICSI Installer 2 (copper or fiber) or Technician. TECH is the supervisor credential, not an installer one.
  • You have been the person other techs ask when a test fails.
  • Willing to travel the U.S. on a crew.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

What you get

  • $20–40/hr posted. Starting $20–25. The top end is $40 as you certify and take ownership.
  • Dollar raises every six months for anyone performing.
  • BICSI, OSHA, and manufacturer certifications paid on the clock.
  • Path: technician → lead → superintendent → PM or engineering.
